Nearly 290,000 Palestinian children are “on the brink of death” in Gaza as Israel continues to use starvation as a weapon of war, Palestinian officials say.

Palestinian children are hospitalized in Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza.
Gaza’s Government Media Office said in a statement on Sunday that more than 70,000 children are being hospitalized due to severe malnutrition, and the international community is maintaining a "shameful silence" on these crimes.
“Under this systematic blockade, it said, “more than 3,500 children under the age of five face imminent death by starvation, while approximately 290,000 children are on the brink of death.”
According to the statement, the Israeli regime continues to prevent the entry of baby formula, nutritional supplements, and all forms of humanitarian aid into the coastal enclave.
“At a time when 1.1 million children daily lack the minimum nutritional requirements for survival, this crime is being perpetrated by the ‘Israeli’ occupation using starvation as a weapon, amid shameful international silence.”..

Israeli Cabinet ministers approved a sweeping military push and indefinite control of Gaza amid growing dissent among its reservists and international backlash

Israel's top leadership on Monday approved a plan to capture the entire Gaza Strip and indefinitely remain in the area, according to an Associated Press report that quoted two Israeli officials.
If implemented, the move—officially titled 'Gideon Chariots'—is expected to be a significant advancement of Israel's operations in Gaza, that is also likely to earn them stronger international backlash.
"The plan will include, among other things, the conquest of the Gaza Strip and the holding of the territories, moving the Gaza population south for their protection," the official statement said.
Just two days after Israeli news outlets reported reservists being mobilised in the thousands—as a part of this escalation—Israeli Cabinet ministers approved the plan in a voting process conducted early this morning.
The new plan, which Israeli officials have touted as a means to defeat Gaza and free hostages held there, also calls for thousands of Palestinians in the region to be displaced to southern Gaza, thereby worsening the humanitarian crisis in the entire region.
According to Israel's public broadcaster Kan, the new plan was to be implemented gradually: over a period of a few months, with forces taking on Gaza in an area-by-area basis. According to a Reuters report, such a plan could potentially lead to a ceasefire and hostage negotiations, ahead of a visit by US President Donald Trump to Gaza next week, Cabinet security minister Zeev Elkin said.
"There is still a window of opportunity until President Trump concludes his visit to the Middle East, if Hamas understands we are serious," Elkin told Kan on Monday...

The forests that cover the demolished Palestinian villages of the 1948 Nakba are ablaze at a time when Israel prepares to celebrate its 80th anniversary of colonial settler independence.
This is an apt symbol for the smoldering toxins within a failing Zionist system turning to ash. The genocidal apartheid state requests the West for help to fight the fires, whilst, without any scruples whatsoever, its military burns children and adults alive in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon, courtesy of US, British, French and German bombs, to the cheers of most Israelis and the Zionist international.
Those like me, who were seduced as innocent children by the thieving Jewish National Fund (JNF) into providing pocket money to plant trees ostensibly to make the desert bloom, can feel redeemed by whatever cause is now wiping the stolen terrain of its camouflage.
I am proud that when I was Minister of Water and Forests in the democratic South African government, I prevented a so-called South Africa Forest in the Galilee area of Occupied Palestine from being re-named the Nelson Mandela Forest.
The implanted vegetation conceals the depopulated and destroyed Palestinian village of Lubya, visited by South African filmmaker Heidi Grunebaum, who made a moving documentary, “The Village Under the Forest.” South African activist and renowned Middle East analyst, Naeem Jeenah, who accompanied her on the trip searching for the site, recounts the experience:
“Heidi and I were the two non-Christians who were part of a South African delegation at a Christian conference in Bethlehem. After the conference, all eight of us were determined to visit Libya, even though it was far out of our way. As we drove out to it, we all had mixed feelings, including a great deal of anger. Libya had been depopulated in 1948, and alien trees had been planted over the village, and this new ‘forest’ was named after us! We found remains of homes, a water well, even a small mosque – partly buried under sand. One reverend in our group was determined to rip out every JNF tree that covered Lubya, a hopeless task, but his spirit reflected how we all felt: anger, defeat, betrayal. Perhaps we should have destroyed the board that said ‘South Africa Forest’, with a picture of our flag on it. Heidi’s very personal film about Libya, in different ways, mirrored how all eight of us felt on that day.”
The JNF planted alien trees from Europe and Australia, such as the pine and eucalyptus, full of inflammable sap that explodes like napalm, in hot, dry climates...
