The Evangelical Pope | A Preview of the Kingdom of God

Each week we let Saint Pope John Paul II share meaningful signposts to spark socio-economic resolves through justice and righteousness combined with mercy and compassion; in short, love.

12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
__ Romans 12:12 (New International Version)

It is not enough for Christians to denounce injustices; they are encouraged to advocate for justice and act as genuine witnesses. Although workers have rights that need legal safeguards, they also have responsibilities that they should accept openly.

As Christians, we are called to be architects of justice and real freedom and forgers of social charity.

Innovative approaches bring several new challenges and may occasionally result in job loss. However, they also offer considerable opportunities, necessitating that workers improve their skills and utilize their human capabilities and creativity.

Thus, work should not be viewed as a necessity but as a genuine vocation—a divine calling to build a new world defined by justice and brotherhood. This world is a preview of the Kingdom of God, where scarcity and limitations will surely be absent.
