Friday Edition | What is the Side of the Story that is Not Yet Decisive?

If you know of any story that is decisive, tell the world. You deserve the next Pulitzer Prize.

We're still searching.

I call people I know to prod them with questions like, "what's going on in your neck of the woods? Are we missing something? Tell me more! 'What is the Side of the Story that is Not Yet Decisive?'

If one scholar could help expand blinders, it's Dr. Denijal Jegić in 'Palestinian victims of the Ukraine war.' What an eye-opener! He tells his story from Beirut, Lebanon.

Dr. Jegić holds a Ph.D. from the Institute for Transnational American Studies (Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany). His research interests include (post)colonialism in Palestine, Zionism, Orientalism, subaltern, and Third World resistance in arts and literature.

A Prayer without End

Based in Scotland, John White in 'Who's behind alleged war crimes in Ukraine?' speculates that in war, old enemies holding grudges for decennia, if not centuries and even millennia, slaughter each other, especially when no one is looking. It's payback time. One of five Ukrainians is of Russian descent. A small percentage of the Ukrainians, especially those of German ancestry, despise the Russian Ukrainians enough to massacre them as sworn enemies. My Ukrainian friend, Boris, with Russian roots, filled me in on their conflicting histories. 'Who's behind alleged war crimes in Ukraine?,' published initially in Veterans Today, portrays humanity at its worst, a prayer without end.

TGIGF: Thank Goodness it's Good Friday.

Happy Easter on this side of complexity. Next week, on Sunday, 24 April 2022, the Russians, Greek, and Macedonians have their turn.

They're Orthodox. We're Roman. Two Easters. One God with winds of war. No worries! Earth still spins on its axis.
