“The State of Israel enacted a law proclaiming itself the ‘nation-state’ of all Jews on planet earth, regardless of nationality. Torah Jews believes this declaration to be wrong and unlawful. Since the Jewish people are a religious entity– not a race or nationality – such a claim is completely bogus. By irrevocably linking Jews everywhere with Israel and any Israeli military action, they, too, must unfairly shoulder international reaction – becoming the unwitting target of increased anti-Semitism worldwide.”
This is a statement on the True Torah Jews website, in an article titled, “The Nation-State Law is a False Claim.”
Christian Zionism promotes the ideology that modern Jews of today are descendants of the ancient Hebrews. Their belief is that for the second coming of Christ, all Jews need to return to the Biblical Homeland of Israel created in 1948.
There are many reasons to suggest their belief system is flawed. They seem to ignore the scripture of the New Testament which opposes the idea of a superior race or identity.
A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the spirit, not by written code. Such a person’s praise is not from other people, but from God. - Romans 2:28-29
There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. -Galatians 3:28
They mostly avoid the information coming from Israeli sources themselves. On October 9, 2013 The Times of Israel reported on Rabbi Ovadia Yosef’s most controversial quotations. It reads:
The purpose of Gentiles — to serve Jews:
“Goyim were born only to serve us. Without that, they have no place in the world – only to serve the People of Israel.”
“In Israel, death has no dominion over them… With gentiles, it will be like any person – they need to die, but [God] will give them longevity. Why? Imagine that one’s donkey would die, they’d lose their money.
“This is his servant… That’s why he gets a long life, to work well for this Jew.”
“Why are gentiles needed? They will work, they will plow, they will reap. We will sit like an effendi and eat… That is why gentiles were created.”
Rabbi Ovadia Yosef's funeral had the largest attendance in Israeli history, with 800,000 in attendance.
This revered Israeli Rabbi made it known that he believes there is a distinction between Jew and Gentile, the opposite of the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Palestinians consist of a mostly Muslim and Christian population and are considered gentiles. The late Rabbi Yosef and his following in Israel seem to believe the oppression and occupation of the Palestinian people is just, because their lives are less valuable than their own.
This is the rhetoric True Torah Jews do not believe in or want associated with their faith.
Anti-Zionist Jew Rabbi Dovid Weiss sat down with Al Jazeera in 2012 to discuss his beliefs about Israel. He says, the concept of killing and stealing is against the Torah, Zionism is a rebellion against the commandment of God.
There are Rabbis and Jewish people around the world who believe there is a difference between the Jewish religion and Zionism, which is nationalism associated with the State of Israel. Palestinians are speaking up against the occupation and further confiscation of their lands. These people are often smeared as anti-Semitic. If that is so, ask yourself what we should call Rabbi Yosef and the Israelis who honor him and his ideology?
